Elegant portrait of a man from the first part of the 19th century, more precisely Louis Philippe in rodingote outfit and tie collar, seen in bust on brown background, oil on mahogany panel presented in a charming and beautiful gilded wood frame with large molding and pearl. Obviously we have before us a man of condition with a proud appearance, a sustained gaze with regular features with certainly an advanced baldness. He is no less imposing by his presence and this work is certainly very faithful to the model. A leaky and nevertheless contrasting and very detailed painting and the features of his face remarkably executed. It is a pretty portrait in good condition and is decorative because it constitutes frames and painting all original what one can call a pretty painting of Ancestor ....
