Oil on canvas depicting a woman of quality, with a Fontange hairstyle, a silver goblet in her hand, preparing to drink a sweet wine, while a young servant, placed behind her and as if emerging from the hangings, brings her a message that we imagine to be a secret love note. At her side, a young black page dressed in oriental style and wearing a turban presents her with sweets.
