The characteristic Emilian mould blends very well with the Venetian influences in this highly prized flap from the advanced Louis XV period. The walnut burl is used with the technique of matching and strong edging that we sometimes find in 18th-century Romagna chests of drawers.
An elegant three-drawer Bureau with a double wavy central move and shelf supports, entirely panelled in walnut-root, bearing a shaped lid concealing a five-drawer chest of drawers and a rather unusual but really effective and curious internal move, again in walnut and walnut-root.
The piece of furniture, of remarkable beauty and excellent cabinet making, is entirely panelled on the entire external and internal surface to bring out the ferrara walnut burl, the flagship of the emilian Louis XV cabinet making.
The skilful construction of the piece of furniture shows us a quality workmanship, capable of arranging the wooden essences in a skilful manner on the flap so as to bring out the magnificent colours of the furniture itself.
