"Collection Of 1052 Prehistoric And Neolithic Tools – Indre Et Loire – A Life Of Research"
I offer you this rare and very large collection of prehistoric and Neolithic tools from the closure of a private museum in Indre et Loire. The collection is composed of scrapers, chisels, blades, points, scrapers, bifaces, trenchers, drills, polished axes, microliths, notched saws, hammerstones, cutting armatures and some flakes. In total, there are 1052 tools! The tools cover a period from the Middle Paleolithic, namely the Mousterian (between -200,000 and -30,000), to the Neolithic (-6000 and -2500) through the Mesolithic (between -10,000 and -6000). All the tools have been listed by the inventor and we all know their places of origin. This is old research, sometimes published in the Revue de la Société Préhistorique Française by Gérard Cordier. Most of the objects come from Indre et Loire and the sites of Esvres, Neuillé Pont-Pierre, Druye, Azay sur Cher, Luzillé, Reignac, Descartes and Abilly. Some of the objects come from Villeneuve sur Lot in Lot-et-Garonne. A more anecdotal part comes from Dordogne. The tools measure about fifteen centimeters for the largest and less than a centimeter for the microliths. They are made of flint, jasper or sandstone. I would like this collection to remain complete, which is why I am selling all the objects together. I can of course provide photos for all the objects (contact me). Delivery can be made worldwide, contact me for details.
