Charming portrait of a little girl in traditional Dutch costume. The child is kneeling on the ground. She wears the two-eared headdress, a blue blouse and a pink petticoat that brightens up the scene. In her arms, she is holding what appears to be a doll. In the background, a windmill is quickly sketched against the yellow sky.
The line is lively and the choice of colors, bold. The work is signed lower right.
The work is offered in a modern frame with a pale gold patina. Everything is in excellent condition.

This work was created by Yvonne Brudo, a French artist born in the 19th century and active from the early years of the 20th. Eclectic, she excels in advertising illustration as well as in painting, gouache and watercolor. She has a particular predilection for portraits of children and women.
