19th Century Choisy Le Roi Earthenware Planter

Choisy-Le-Roi earthenware cachepot from the 19th century (around 1880 - 1890) signed by the Hautin Boulenger & Cie earthenware factory.
The cachepot is decorated with a floral decoration and a gold ribbon on a midnight blue background.

The Choisy-le-Roi earthenware factory was founded by the three Paillart brothers on 21 Floréal Year XIII (May 11, 1805). Hippolyte Boulenger (1836-1892) who became the owner of the company in 1863, which he named H. Boulenger & Cie (Hautin Boulenger & Cie). He transformed the local earthenware factory into a leading industrial company at the national level: the Choisy earthenware factory received several official awards at the Universal Exhibitions.
