Object description :

"Sievert Svea No. 35 Parabolic Oil Table Radiator, Early 20th Century, Transformed Into A Lamp"
Rare parabolic table radiator in brass, Sievert brand model no. 35, made in Sweden in the 1920s-1930s. This radiator used as a base the tank and burner of a tripod oil stove, on which was fitted a parabola serving as a heat reflector. It was therefore already at the time a 2 in 1 device! This old radiator has been cleverly transformed into a table lamp, combining aesthetics with originality, to make it a rare object. Height 43 cm, parabola diameter 32 cm, tank diameter 17 cm. Lampshade height 11 cm, base diameter 12 cm, upper diameter 6 cm. The AB Max Sievert company was founded in 1882 by the eldest of three brothers. Max and his younger brothers, Georg and Ernst, moved from their hometown of Zittau in Saxony to Sweden and soon became Swedish citizens. From Germany, they had worked to supply the emerging industry in Sweden, Russia and other countries with German machinery and industrial supplies.
