Luciano-Gaston Faraoni is a French painter born in 1928, originally from Florence in Tuscany. Influenced by the Italian impressionist Macchiaiolo, Gaston-Luciano Faraoni draws inspiration from the landscape, whose bucolic atmosphere he exalts in a style of living realism. His way of applying colors imitates natural textures completely. The brushstroke is powerfully expressive and captures the characteristics of each form. Rejecting the traditional sliding brushstroke that only creates an illusory texture, Faraoni's varied style contributes to the evolution of the natural texture.
Some paintings are endowed with great luminosity and a pastel aspect to very accurately render the light shades and the contrasts of light and shadow. Faraoni's brushwork is lively and suggestive, following the shapes of the trees and houses, accentuating the varied textures of the surface. Little by little, thus brushed, all the magic of the landscape emerges.
