Florimond Bruneau, 1877-1956, Belgian painter of landscapes, village views, still lifes, flowers and portraits. Draftsman. Son of a miller, this self-taught artist settled in Schaerbeek where he devoted himself entirely to painting after having been a teacher. He mainly deals with the landscape of Belgium (Flanders, Campine and Ardennes). Also painted in France and the Netherlands. His style is close to that of Eugène Laermans. Works in the Museums of Schaerbeek, Tervueren and Reims. Artist listed in Bénézit, Arto and Piron, listed on Artprice, Artnet, Akoun, etc.
