"Pair Of Candlesticks "with Putti" Charles X Period 19th Century"
Pair of gilt bronze and black patinated candlesticks Charles X period Early 19th century. The shafts formed by inverted putti decorated with gilt bronze florets holding a crown of water flowers in one hand and the other hand supporting the gilt bronze sockets finely chiseled with acanthus leaves and flowers. The putti are standing on a sphere entwined by a snake and encircled by a frieze of water flowers. They end with a circular molded base richly chiseled with griffins, lyres and florets. Double patina gilding and original patina cleaned by our workshop, in very good condition. Original model of remarkable quality from the Charles X period.
