"Armchair Or Nurse's Chair "
This armchair in perfect condition, without cracks or chips in the woodwork, has the extraordinary particularity that its backrest and its rear legs are carved from the same piece of mahogany, without any casing. We therefore have a seat that is the fruit of the work of the sculptor rather than the carpenter. No doubt a special order for a wealthy English family in the Victorian era. Let us add that the sculptor spared no effort in choosing a very complex network of interlacing and very clever moldings.
