Rare late 17th century Louis XIV period cartel in brown tortoiseshell signed in the coat of arms and on its plate "Ducoroy in Paris" Pierre born in Abbeville in 1660 died in Paris on July 22, 1705. Son of Paul, merchant, and Geneviève Le Roy Artist producing beautiful clocks of very good quality, rich ornamentation in gilded and chiseled bronze, at the top the crowing of the rooster symbolizing the dawn, terrace fire pots, caryatids, ram's heads, masks, bells, twelve cartridge dial, steel hands, original cycloid escapement all in perfect condition guaranteed for two years.
