Round barrel, rifled bore, blued finish, with brass rice grain front sight. Tilt-up system, marked MASS. ARMS CO CHICOPEE FALLS.
Round, six-chamber, hand-turned cylinder with foliage decoration.
Single-action operation.
White polished steel carcass, engraved with scrolling foliage; with door on the right side lifting to access the primer band, door marked: MEYNARD'S PATENT - SEP. 22. 1845.
Trigger tail serves as barrel release.
Wooden stock plates.
Good condition and working order.
Supplied in a later burrwood case with reinforced corners and three compartments, containing a primer box and an oil cruet.
