Image size 32.3 x 44.6 cm Mounting 45.5 x 46.5 cm Under mat 50 x 60 cm circa 1856 Louis Auguste BISSON (1814-1876) known as Bisson aîné and Auguste Rosalie BISSON (1826-1900) known as Bisson Jeune are two pioneers of French photography. Active since 1847, the Bisson brothers are among the first to leave the studio and quickly market their techniques. Known for their large prints, they quickly gained international fame.
