Very interesting oil on canvas by the Italian painter Gino Gregori (from his studio sale, about ten years ago). Signed on the back "Gino Gregori". 61x46 cm (12P). Good condition, a small deformation of the canvas in the middle on the left (see photo). Gino Gregori's life before 1943 remains little known. He worked as a diplomat at the Italian embassy in Zagreb at least since 1935. In 1943 he was arrested and deported to Mauthausen probably for making false papers for the Jews3.
