"Khandjar Persian, Qajar Period 19th"
This nice little khandjar is of Persian origin, from the Qajar period, 19th century. Without being of exceptional quality, it remains pleasant, at a very reasonable price.BLADE: It is curved, double-edged. It is decorated with silver threads using the so-called "koft-gari" technique. Blade length = 17 cm, width near the handle 3.3 cm, thickness near the handle 1.6 mm
HANDLE: it is coil-shaped, typical of daggers from the region. It is made of iron, with silver inlays in Koft-gari which are partly worn.
SCABBARD it is made of wood covered with the original velvet, scabbard entrance and chape made of iron, with worn silver inlays.
