"Empire Period Console"
Beautiful console in mahogany veneer and gilded bronze. Green Campan marble top, one drawer on the front. Band with bas-reliefs of antique scenes. Front uprights in crosiers, decoration of rosettes and palmettes, claw feet. Rear uprights in flat columns, glass background (mercury tin). Plinth with laurel frieze, eagles and S's facing each other. Laurel wreath, quiver, arrows and bow framed by a diamond. French polish, original gilding. Circa 1815.
