Mid Century Display Table In Stained Mahogany, Louis XV Style, Napoleon III Period – Mid 19th Century

This small stained mahogany center display table opens with a dark mitered framed flap with a beveled glass pane. The latter is decorated at the corners with bronze women's heads and surrounded by a frieze of brass rosettes. An authentic and functional lock, accompanied by a key and an entrance decorated with interlacing plants, allows locking. The interior offers a simple storage space. The belt is also decorated with motifs of chimeras, palmettes and crowns. The whole rests on four angular curved legs with bronze scraps and delicately chiseled edging as clogs.
