Rare removable hearth grate, thanks to these movable hooks. The hearth grate is not a fire screen, it will not prevent the projections of incandescent embers but it protects the fireplace from animals or young children. Connected by two movable hooks to the chimney where rings, on either side of the jambs were fixed to receive the hooks of the grate.
