The company was founded in 1927, when brothers Cesare and Umberto Cassina founded the firm ‘Figli di Amedeo Cassina’ to create the finest handcrafted furniture in Italy. In the post-war period, the desire for reconstruction gave a further boost to this idea and the company debuted in the interiors business, making furniture for hotels and offices. Today Cassina is among the leaders in the world of furniture and continues to stamp its mark on the most exclusive projects designed by major international architects.
The chairs have the production mark on the bottom. They are in a good state of preservation and show slight signs of wear and tear due to buffering and use.
