Guy Bezançon (1942-2023) Born in Sens, painter and musician, Guy Bezançon belongs to this handful of unclassifiable artists who, from the 70s, sought to combine graphics and music (giant painted scores). This is how we see his name associated as much with his own musical works, as with many shows for which he also signed the scenography. A key player in the contemporary musical world, supported by great masters such as Pierre Schaeffer, Olivier Messiaen, Vinko Globokar, Pierre Boulez etc., he devotes himself mainly to the organ and improvisation, a field in which he is recognized as one of the best specialists. He also passionately practices concrete and electroacoustic music and has performed at numerous organ recitals. In the 70s, he became close friends with Laurent Terzieff and Michaël Lonsdale and several big names in the theatre. It was with them that he recorded records and CDs devoted to his own music, including biblical texts as well as stage and radio music.
