Mahogany and ormolu commode / chest of drawers, Consulate production, early 19th century circa 1800. Beautiful model decorated with mercury gilt bronze women busts on top of pilasters, luxurious Turquin marble on top, lion claws-shaped feet ahead of the chest. Probably a piece of a follower of Jacob Freres or Molitor. The old varnish was cleaned, in excellent condition.
