" 115 * 122 Cm Louis Philippe Mirror In Engraved Gilded Wood, Mercury Glass, 19th Century"
Lovely Louis Philippe period mirror in gilded wood engraved with flowers and foliage on a frieze of pearls. This is a mirror almost as wide as it is high, so it can easily be placed in modern interiors or above a fireplace if your ceilings are not very high. It is a gilded wood core nailed to a very thick parquet flooring at the back. The glass is mercury, some oxidation stains and some cleaning scratches on the glass. This mirror is very heavy, approximately 30 kg, provide a good grip. Very beautiful warm gilding, very slightly faded pearls at the bottom, patina and lack of stucco in the lower left corner (this is almost invisible, see photo). Mid-19th century period. Delivery flat in a wooden crate on a pallet by carrier, 200 euros in France, 500 euros in the EU and 1500 euros rest of the world.
