Cosmopolitan tobacco pot in Sarreguemines earthenware, late 19th century. This pot was intended to contain tobacco. The container is domed and divided into four parts using female figures. Each part contains a medallion with a scene inside representing characters smoking: - a woman on an armchair in her living room - a Zouave sitting on a crate - a soldier leaning against what appears to be a rock - a man smoking using a hookah The lid has a grip in the shape of a man sitting with his legs crossed. Dimensions: Height: approximately 30 cm / Length in cm: 21.6 / Width in cm: 21.6. Good condition overall. Note: a similar model is present at the Sarreguemines museum. A magnificent model and a very rich decoration!!!
