He subsequently gave a large expansion to his business, had business relations with André-Charles Boulle, one of the sons of the famous cabinetmaker, and contributed to furnishing the hotel of the Duke of Talmont, as well as the castle of Villegénis purchased in 1744 by Louis-Anne de Bourbon-Condé, known as Mademoiselle de Sens. Very quickly, he acquired a good reputation and made furniture for the various houses of Parisian high society. This cabinetmaker is known to have made many large pieces of furniture, chests of drawers, secretaries, and wardrobes, elegantly designed, classically shaped and well-proportioned, all in the Louis XV style. All of his production is decorated, always with care, with floral marquetry, the stems of which are very often attached with a ribbon or geometric designs. The rocaille bronzes are used with sobriety. His workshop disappeared with him in 1768, but his furniture store was taken over by his wife, who kept it for eight years until her death.
