" Trophime Bigot, Known As The Master Of The Candle. Rome, That Is Between 1620 And 1634"
French Caravaggio attributed to Trophime Bigot, known as the Master of the Candle, since the suggestion of the Caravaggio light does not spread in an angular manner, but unusually from the center, radiating outwards. The scene depicts Christ with Nicodemus, the master of Israel. The suggestive work, which comes from a Roman collection, dates back to the period of the painter's stay in Rome, that is between 1620 and 1634. Work of international interest. (cm.108x135)
