Gilt bronze plaquette, the Immaculate Conception, Spain, circa 1600

This plaquette depicts Virgin Mary surrounded by a big halo with blazing rays. Standing on a moon crescent, she keeps her hands praying, and her head is crowned by seven stars. Each corner is ornamented by a winged putto head.

Excellent condition, very well preserved gilding, extremely fine cast.
