"Pierre Prins, Impressionist, 1873"
Beautiful pastel by Pierre Ernest Prins, entitled "les peupliers", signed and dated (18)73. Certificate of authenticity from the artist's granddaughter, France Guerrier Prins, dated February 16, 1977. Pierre Prins was a friend of Edouard Manet, Zacharie Astruc and Alfred Sisley. He should have participated in 1874 in the first exhibition of the Impressionists, but his paintings were not deposited at Nadar's studio.
