Pair of large candlesticks or torches in matt and shiny mercury-gilded bronze. Rich star and palmette decoration on the base, the quiver-shaped barrel. They are made up of 6 independent pieces, entirely in matt and shiny mercury-gilded bronze (bronze only, no brass parts). High-quality Parisian work comparable to the productions of Claude Galle. Empire period - early 19th century, 1810s. Beautiful pieces for amateurs and collectors, these candlesticks are of very high quality and worthy of imperial furniture. Very good condition: no dents, accidents or deformation. Original mercury gilding well preserved with wear on the central part. Height: 26.5cm Diameter: 13cm
