"Curved Wood Office Chair Early 20th Century | Thonet Period "
Bentwood office chair from the early 20th century. Model close to the 6150 by Thonet (see catalog extract 1911) that some attribute to Adolf Loos. "Queen Anne" style legs but "modernist" with this angular aspect, "saddle" shaped seat. Instead of a spacer, here we have very beautifully crafted and finely curved arches, and in front, two brackets, whose technical use and very "architect" style also existed on other models of the time (see catalog plate). Despite a remaining marking, we can attribute this example to Horgen-Glaris thanks, in addition to the quality of manufacture, to the use of a type of assembly and screws that was specific to the firm. Very good original condition, including patina. Ready to install. Height 85 cm, seat height 47 cm, seat 45x47 cm, width between armrests 43 cm. Delivery throughout mainland France and the EU.
