"Janus Kusu Statuette (rdc)"
"Khosi" statuette with bitiki (abdominal loads) from the "Kusu" ethnic group of the Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire).This statuette has the particularity of being double-sided "Janus" and old.
It is an original and authentic piece that can be dated to the first part of the 20th century.
It was kept in the "cheffale" hut, out of sight.
It still has part of its polychromy in the form of white and red dots, painted with natural pigments.
It measures 43 cm in height and 8cm by 8cm approximately for the body (without the base).
It is on a base.
