Oil on canvas "Flemish landscape" attributed to Jacob Van Artois Flemish painter 1613-1686, his favorite subject is the representation of landscapes some of which are kept in prestigious museums such as the Louvre, the Palais des Beaux Arts in Lille, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium. This landscape of a barely hilly countryside presents at the bottom right two characters on a path heading towards a distant village in the center of the painting. The touch is fine and delicate. Ink inscription on the back of the frame "Van Artois" and "presenting from Lionel de Bouilly". It is kept in a carved and gilded wooden frame in the Louis XIV style 18th century.
Good condition, restorations of use and maintenance, frame formerly restored and patinated (visible on the photos).
