Duvelleroy Fan Illustrated By A. Robida For The 1900 Universal Exhibition

Fan celebrating "Old Paris" illustrated by Albert Robida for the famous Duvelleroy fan house at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris
Albert Robida (1848 - 1926) French illustrator, created for the 1900 World's Fair a reconstruction of a district of "Old Paris", downstream from the Pont de l'Alma (reconstruction which was destroyed after the exhibition)
This fan was sold at the exhibition venue.
Fan titled "Le Mignon", the leaf in fabric printed in colors, the frame in cream lacquered wood, engraved with gold floral motifs.
It represents a minstrel playing the lute for two ladies, with the "Old Paris" architecture in the background.
Titled "Le Mignon and bearing the signature "Robida at the bottom left.
A cartouche "Old Paris" at the top right.
Stamp of Duvelleroy on the reverse
Height: 24cm Wingspan when opened: 44cm
Good condition With its faded but probably original box.
