Pair Of Reliquaries With Pilgrimage Paperolles - 19th Century

Two pocket reliquaries, called "travel" or "pilgrimage" reliquaries. Both with beautiful quilling work.

1. Hardcover "book" with four relics: Sts Martyrs, Fr. de Sales, Ste Chantal, Pâte Sacrée. Rectangular in shape, solid, opening like a book, covered with green fabric and yellow braid on the opening, probably as reinforcement. Floral decoration in quilling, Virgin and Child in the center in plaster surrounded by the four relics in the corners.
Dimensions closed: 4.5 x 6 cm.
Original protective glass pane (presence of microbubbles) : 3.5 x 5 cm. Light rubbing from use.

2. Diamond with two relics: Clement XII, S. Fran. Sales Diamond-shaped, beautiful solid cardboard covered with red fabric and embroidery of metallic threads on both sides of the closed reliquary. The two relics are surrounded by a work of orange paperolles spun with gold.
