Bust of Archbishop Saint Gaudiosus of Naples, born in 360 in North Africa, martyr in 455 in Italy, carved and painted wood, hollowed out at the back. Mounted (pegged) on a poly-rectangular base, with rocaille decoration carved in low relief, gilded, housing inside: a relic (Ex ossibus) of "Saint Gaudiosi M.", surrounded by golden thread trimmings (work of Sisters). Tirol early 19th century, in good condition.
