Painter: Mikel Chaussepied known as Mika. (Born 1936). He comes from a family of architects from Nantes, attended the Quimper School of Fine Arts and then the Rennes School. Painter listed on “artprice”. This watercolor entitled "the quays of Cap Horn in Quimper" dates from the 1950s. It captures a harbor scene. In the foreground we can see small fishing boats while a trawler and the harbor appear in the background. The gradients of blue, gray and black used by the artist are superb. (there are traces of old pitting on the paper, especially in the sky visible in the photo) Dimensions: 30 x 47 cm and 56 x 42 with frame. New frame.
