"At The Bottom Of The Garden. Cornelis Kloos. Watercolor"
Cornelis Kloos (1895-1976), Dutch painter. “Listed” painter. Cornelis Kloos was very attached to figurative painting and followed his own artistic path. For him what was important in the composition of a painting was space and light. In the foreground we see an alley, a lawn and in the background a house hidden in the trees. The composition is original and accentuates the importance of shapes and colors. The subject is not very important but it is really the light, the colors and the shapes that stand out. Watercolor on paper, framed in an oak frame. Traces of humidity at the bottom right. Signed at the bottom right and signature on the back. Dimensions: 23.5 x 17 cm without frame and 25.5 x 32 cm with the frame.
