Oil on wood 27*35 (without frame) 38*45 (with frame) Charles DUVENT Student of Gustave Boulanger and Jules Lefebvre, landscaper and orientalist, he exhibited at the Salon des artistes français from 1884 and obtained an honorable mention in 1891, a 3rd class medal in 1893, a 2nd class medal and a travel grant in 1896 and a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. Knight (1903) then officer (1921) of the Legion of Honor, he became a member of the jury and President of the Société amicale des artistes français.
