"Half-moon Chest Of Drawers Stamped F.ratié, 18th Century"
Half-moon chest of drawers in rosewood marquetry stamped Jean Frédéric Ratié (1755-1838). This chest of drawers opens with three drawers and two side doors. The top is covered with white marble surrounded by a bronze gallery. This piece of furniture has been restored and varnished with an old-fashioned stamp. Jean Frédéric Ratié was born in Hanover in 1755, he was a Parisian cabinetmaker established in the Faubourg St Antoine, received Master on July 15, 1783. He worked for the furniture repository of the Crown which will order three chests of drawers for the castle of St Cloud. We find his signature on a rear upright: F.RATIE DIMENSIONS: 1.25m long, 0.56m deep and 0.86m high. Delivery on estimate.
