Object description :

"Mystery Object Monoxyl"
Before diving into my prose, try looking at the photos to find its use... Hint: in one piece, on one side, a funnel-shaped cone that ends, on the other side, with three holes... Hint: they were found in Brest, Rochefort, Lorient, Le Havre, Dunkirk, Cherbourg, Toulon, built between 1636 and 1798. The traces of wear and use give a title of nobility to this beautiful tool. We see a similar one on the plates of Duhamel Dumoceau from the 18th century on the laying of ropes. It could be called a toupin, a cabiau or even a gabieu depending on the region... You have guessed it: it is a toupin couch. Well done.
