Truncated cone-shaped pewter PITCHER with a lid with a terrace topped with a mushroom and acorn thumb. It is decorated with a series of turned threads.
Clear hallmark of Louis François GUERLAIN and Nicolas Claude DAIRAINE, partners active before 1797: GUERLAIN-DAIRAINE IN ABBEVILLE. Height: 26.8 cm.
ABBEVILLE, Very late 18th or early 19th century.

In superb condition
Bibliography: "Notes on some marks of Abbeville pewter potters", 1976, by Micheline AGACHE-LECAT, former curator of the Abbeville museum These pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime.
