"Marble Bust Depicting Gutenberg, Signed De Carlis"
Statuary marble bust of great quality, depicting Gutenberg, the father of modern movable type printing. It features an inscription on the front with the name of the historical figure and, on one side, the signature "De Carlis fecit" (a renowned student of Canova).
Of Italian origin, as the author also suggests, it can be dated to the late 18th and early 19th century.
