"Reliquary Paperolles With 12 Relics – 19th Century "
Spectacular reliquary with quilling with its profusion of floral motifs in an elegant carved and gilded wooden frame. A precise work of congregation, probably Visitandines given the relics presented. On an altar sits a crucifix decorated with colored glass beads. It is surrounded by two vases and candelabra. An original sanctuary lamp dominates the whole, which is enriched with meticulous floral details. The relics of Saint Chantal, Saint Angel, Saint Felix, Saint Theodore, Saint Alexander, Saint Benoit, Saint Victor, Saint George and Saint Francis de Sales and finally Saint Vincent, and Saint Clare and a rare relic of Saint Alyre, bishop of Clermont are honored.
On the back interesting note specifying that these relics have been authenticated by the vicar general and must be honored as such.
Some detachments and losses to the frame
