Authentic piece, very rare and in very good general condition.
The kurtka is made of white woolen cloth with a blue stand-up collar. Reversible breastplate in blue cloth for the full dress uniform and white for the undress outfit.
Brass buttons stamped with the crowned imperial eagle.
Original canvas lining with the stamp of the Lancers Regiment of the Imperial Guard: a crown followed by "LANC" (see photo). On the lining the soldier's number is also stamped: "1181 D" (see photo).
The outfit is sold with its original red racket cord as well as its red "aiguillettes".
The red shoulder straps are of the right type worn by the imperial lancers but date from a later period (third republic / circa 1900).
Some small dirt. A small repair at the right armpit. Some very light moth licks.
