"Masterpiece Of A 19th Century Cabinetmaker."
At the end of their tour of France, the companions had to show their mastery, their know-how acquired during their long apprenticeship. They had to create a masterpiece, to show their peers that their place was deserved in the corporation. The two columns and the two spheres are made of several different woods, then turned, with dexterity, they decline the excellence of their creator.
