Object description :

"Andre-pierre Lupiac : "nude In The Open Air""
André-Pierre Lupiac (1873-1956): "Nude en plein air", oil on cardboard 15.5 X 21.5 cm, mounted in a small gilded frame 19 X 25 cm. Titled on the back. Numerous material losses, fortunately on the less important parts. The Artist, a Toulouse co-founder of the Société des Artistes Méridionaux, had a body of work populated with satyrs and nymphs, mythological scenes or allegories, and retained from his Parisian studies with Laurens and Benjamin-Constant (other Toulouse natives!) a habit of working on the Living Model. An old gentleman once told me that as a child, with his friends, he would cut through the woods and fields to go and feast his eyes while contemplating the beautiful ladies with generous curves through the studio windows! Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or additional information by email or telephone. Other photos and many other objects in our shops in Pau and Biarritz and on our website: galerielhoste.com.
