"Mugs A The Sarreguemines Minton"
SARREGUEMINES MINTON porcelain cup with Japanese-style cherry blossom and bird decoration This delicate cup, accompanied by its saucer, is made of Sarreguemines porcelain with a bird and flower decoration. From the Minton 252 model, this cup bears the Sarreguemines mark: the green Lorraine coat of arms and dates from the end of the 19th century. The Japanese-style decoration is delightful: a bird catches insects, it is surrounded by sakura cherry blossoms. It is a silkscreened decoration and finely enhanced in polychromy by hand. On the edge, a frieze in pink tones underlines the outline. These decorations of English origin, called Minton, were acquired by Sarreguemines from the Fismes factory in the 19th century. In good general condition, I note small enamel losses on the edge and discreet traces of use.
