Lovely round pedestal table, tripod legs in black lacquered wood from the Napoleon III period (around 1850), decorated with a swivel top. This pretty side table, typical of fine Parisian productions, is richly decorated with gold motifs and Martin varnish colors of animated scenes of characters evolving in landscapes with Pagodas Palaces on a lake background of an animated boat, the scenes wonderfully executed with all these characters in a setting of peaceful happiness evolving in a rich idyllic landscape, with mother-of-pearl inlays giving life and playing with the light for our greatest delight; the ballutre foot itself decorated with gold ending in tripod legs. The rocking system in good condition for easier storage and movement. The top has been preserved and shows no signs of untimely use, we are in the presence of a beautiful piece, marking its era in the thirst for travel and exoticism so dear under the Second Empire. A truly beautiful piece in good original condition with great decorative value well preserved
