His style is often compared to that of the Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch. His major works include the triptychs "Egyptian Triptych" (1995) and "Last Judgement Day" (2006-2011), as well as "28 x Rembrandt" (1989) and "1900 & Yesterday" (2012-2017). In 2013, he received a Merit Award in Leipzig, Germany, and in 2014, he won the First Prize Palm Award. Noteworthy facts Thomassen painted the world's smallest oil painting, measuring 1.2 x 1.2 millimeters, depicting Ine Veen's left eye. This work has been in the Guinness Book of Records since 1998. Jean Thomassen is considered one of the most talented realist painters in the Netherlands, with works exhibited in museums in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Russia. 4o
