"Small Spice Mill, Near East, 2nd Millennium Bc"
This small container, engraved and bearing traces of pink pigment, was used to grind spices using a very fine wooden pestle. It dates from shortly after the Neolithic period. Also, it is not known whether the lines on the wall are a simple decoration or a succession of characters with a meaning. Middle East, 2nd millennium BC French Collection.
